In solidarity with authorities and other advocates of career guidance services, a composite delegation of the SFI Group of Companies including Recruitment representation from Servicio Filipino, Inc. joined the two-day National Career Advocacy Congress last 26th and 27th May 2016.

Convening for the third time since 2012, the biennial NCAC convened at the Midas Hotel in Pasay City with participants hailing from all over the country.

Central to this year’s proceedings were reports from the Career Guidance Advocacy Program – Working Group (CGAP-WG) represented by various agencies of the Philippine National Government, and how the findings therein could be used to further the agenda of the convened body.

The delegations in attendance comprise the CGAP-WG, as well as the Network of Guidance Career Advocates (NGCCA) made up of private, academic and non-governmental organizations that are projected to benefit from the Working Group’s output and the free exchange of ideas and practices during the Congress. A workshop was conducted for this purpose on the second day.

The SFI group’s presence and involvement was further marked by booths for the SFI Career Center, the professional development & training arm of the Group, and for the relaunched jobseeker registry and jobs portal PhilJobNet. Some 100 participants of the NCAC were able to make use of the information and services offered at the booths. Present for the event were Servicio Filipino Recruitment Manager Jonathan Salviejo, Ms. Patricia Acepcion of TalentSource, and Ms. Gina Jusay and Mr. Richard Monteverde of the SFI Career Center.
